GROUND TRANSPORTATION PERMIT

Ground Transportation Services at Charleston International Airport are governed by the "Ground Transportation Services Ordinance" and establishes rules and regulations for ground transportation operators at the terminal building.

The Ordinance is designed to:

  • Provide for the public safety and welfare by setting a proper standard of safe conduct and orderly management.
  • Ensure that all transporter vehicles are properly equipped for the safety of passengers and are appropriately insured.
  • Provide convenient and adequate ground transportation service for the traveling public at Charleston International Airport.
  • Generate fees for the maintenance and operations of airport facilities maintained for use by the general public.
  • Foster fair and healthy competition among the organizations permitted to offer ground transportation services at the Airport.
  • Establish a high standard of appearance and service for ground transportation operators.
