CHARLESTON, S.C. – Ted Feinning has been appointed to the Charleston County Aviation Authority Board effective June 1, 2021.
Fienning, an experienced pilot, served ten years on active duty as a day and night carrier-qualified F/A-18 Naval Aviator for the United States Marine Corps from 2003-2013. He currently flies C-12Fs (KingAir 200s) and C-12Ws (KingAir 350s) as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve.
A lifelong South Carolinian, Feinning is the co-founder of children’s consumer products company, Babiators, and currently serves as an instructor at the Krause Center for Leadership and Ethics at The Citadel.
The Charleston County Aviation Authority is a special purpose district created by the state of South Carolina to operate and manage the airports in the Charleston Airport District.
The Aviation Authority District is governed by a 11-member board whose members are selected for four-year terms by the Charleston County Legislative Delegation (approved by the governor), Charleston County Council and the Charleston City Council. Serving as ex-officio members are the mayors of the cities of Charleston and North Charleston and town of Mount Pleasant, and chairman of Charleston County Council.
