Service Animal Relief Areas

Charleston International Airport has three designated Service Animal Relief Areas (SARA) for service animals that accompany passengers. There are two areas located outside, one at each end of the terminal building. There is one designated area post security, located in Concourse A near Gate A2.

Additional Services

Two ReadySTATION cash-to-card conversion kiosks are located in ticketing across from Frontier Airlines and American Airlines. There is a service fee of $5 per transaction for conversions up to $1,000. These instantly loaded ReadyCard brand Visa cards can be used anywhere Visa is accepted.

Self-service luggage carts are available in Baggage Claim near Carousel 1 and on the first-floor, ground level of the parking deck (adjacent to the Surface Lot). The cost is $6 per cart. Return the cart to receive a 25-cent refund.

Cash ($1 bills and quarters only) as well as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted.

A FedEx drop off box is located adjacent to the Guest Services Desk. In addition, a U.S. Postal Service mail slot is available for passengers who would like to drop off stamped postcards and letters for mailing.

Two nursing suites are located in the airport: one pre-security between carousels 2 and 3 in Baggage Claim and one post-security in Concourse B.

The paging system is located at the Guest Services Desk, near the Central Hall. If you have a paging request, please ask one of our Guest Services Specialists for assistance.

We have a page dedicated to those needing accessibility services.

Paws for Takeoff is a unique in-house program for certified therapy dogs and their handlers to interact with passengers and employees at CHS. These four-legged friends like visiting with anyone at Charleston International Airport. Therapy pets can help create a welcoming and calming environment, and we hope passengers and visitors enjoy interacting with these special members of our Guest Services team.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a simple tool for you to voluntarily share that you have a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent, and that you may need a helping hand, understanding, or more time in shops, at work, on transport, or in public spaces.

CHS Check n’ Go is the airport’s in-house curbside baggage check-in service.

Passengers flying select airlines can check their bags right at the curb before entering the terminal, saving time and skipping the ticket counter line inside.

Lost and Found

The Charleston Regional Aviation Authority (CRAA) maintains a Lost and Found office for items found in the Charleston International Airport (CHS) terminal, the security checkpoint, and CHS parking facilities. We have teamed up with Boomerang, a lost and found software, to ensure passengers promptly retrieve lost items. Travelers can access the service through the link below or QR codes located throughout the airport. If CHS has your item, you will receive an email containing instructions for the item’s return shipping.

Charleston International Airport reminds all passengers to be cautious of scammers requesting personal information, including credit card information, regarding lost items. Please note that Boomerang is the only authorized Lost and Found partner for CHS. Neither CHS nor Boomerang will collect payment until your item has been matched. The only cost associated with CHS Lost and Found is the shipping fee to return your item.
