Access & Credentialing

The Airport Authority Badging Office is responsible for issuing airport Access Identification Media (badges) to employees who work at Charleston International Airport. Individuals who work and require unescorted access to the SIDA and Secure Areas of the airport must possess an airport issued CHS security badge. Charleston International Airport Ambassadors are volunteers from all walks of life who donate their time, experience and enthusiasm to help travelers and visitors. In addition to greeting, assisting and directing passengers and visitors within the airport, our knowledgeable ambassadors also provide information on transportation and our beautiful Lowcountry attractions.

Internship Program

Charleston County Aviation Authority's (CCAA) Internship Program provides college students and recent college graduates with opportunities to learn the complex and dynamic profession of airport management. CCAA Internship Program began as part of the Charleston County Aviation Authority’s commitment to cultivate diversity and inclusion in the workplace and develop and recruit top talent.
