Happy Blue Day!

Five years sure flies by.

Today, JetBlue celebrated its fifth year at Charleston International Airport. The Boston-based airline came to CHS in 2013 and has been a great part of the airport team of airlines ever since.

To mark the day, crew members decorated the ticket counters and office space and had a catered lunch. Crew members

from other locations were on hand, including Chris Plunkett, the first CHS station manager. Plunkett help guide JetBlue CHS through the terminal redevelopment project that began the same year the low-cost airline launched Charleston service.

JetBlue has enplaned just over 967,000 passengers since 2013 when it launched daily nonstop service between CHS and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York, Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS), and Washington’s Reagan National Airport (DCA.)

Happyy blue day!

Following its inaugural flights, JetBlue began nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL) International Airport in November 2015 and added a second daily flight to Boston in April 2016.
